NET Recruit are partnering with an exceptional rapidly growing manufacturing business, to assist them in their search for an Maintenance Engineer to join their team located in the Greater Havant area. Having built upon decades of success and growing the business to now partner with some of the largest businesses in the UK, this company have good growth plans for the foreseeable few years and are devoted to ensuring their service and product offerings are of the highest quality and maintain their high levels of customer satisfaction.

As such this business requires an engineer to join the team in order to provide planned and preventative maintenance onsite at the plant, identifying issues and faults with equipment, systems and other assets and striving to conduct competent repair work in a timely and efficient manner. The business has advised that an important facet of this may be working to fix lighting fixtures and fittings that become damaged by water overtime and during the manufacturing processes, ensuring that these lighting fittings are up and running in as little time as possible.

IMPORTANT:
The business has also advised that this role will follow a Panama Shift Pattern, operating on a two weekly cycle.

Your Role and Responsibilities
While in this role your duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining and improving the onsite assets and services used by the plant on a daily basis, using the engineering systems and processes available effectively and servicing elements such as lighting which may be damaged due to manufacturing processes
  • Communicating confidently and accurately with various stakeholders, in order to provide them key information about the plant and maintenance work
  • Carrying out all work to set out health and safety and business standards, ensuring that the environment adheres to this for all employees and making sure that buildings, the plant and equipment are safe and meet expectations
  • Creating improved maintenance practices and ensure that PPM tasks are competed accurately and on time
  • Diagnosing and repairing equipment faults promptly, utilising and ensuring the continuous running of the Engineering Request System
  • Identifying faulty or broken processes and seeking ways to remove these and develop long-term resolutions
  • Ensuring that all works is contributing to the expected standards of product quality and GMP
  • Acting as a key person of knowledge while on shift and supporting the Engineering Manager whilst on site
  • Completing paperwork relevant to the shift on time and ensuring it is accurate, as well as being mindful of stock control and budgets

What you will need to Apply:
To be considered for this role, you will need to have strong experience from within an FMCG or manufacturing business and have previously worked within a similar multi-skilled or electro-mechanical engineering role. Applicants should possess a recognised electrical qualification (with the exception of the 17th edition) and applicants should have strong working knowledge of electrical engineering and of manufacturing processes. Good problem solving and fault-finding skills are paramount to this role, alongside excellent communication skills. Applicants will need to have used computerised maintenance management systems, production equipment and PPE.
