Electrician (Highway) required to work around the Essex area, further travel may be required occasionally.

My client is happy to take on a Domestic electrician if you fancy a change of scene and would like to try something different from Domestic jobs. Highways is more niche and full training will be provided.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Install and maintain electrical systems for street lighting, traffic signals, and other highway infrastructure.
  • Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of highway electrical systems in accordance with current standards.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and industry standards.

Skills & Qualifications required:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
  • Test and Inspect certification (2391 or equivalent).
  • Experience in highway electrical work is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving license.

Offering £30-35K depending on the above qualifications. The more you have from the above, the more you will be offered.

  • Vehicle allowance + 25p per mile or Company van and fuel card.
  • working hours; 7am-5pm with an hour for lunch, Mons-Thurs, 7am-2pm on Fridays.
  • Overtime will be paid, 1x3 weekend work with travel expenses + £25 upfront food costs, if required to stay away.
