Electrically Qualified Supervisor - based out of Slough office / London£50,000 basic salary

Mon - Friday 1 hour unpaid lunch

Role and Responsibilities

Become the appointed NICEIC Qualified Supervisor for the company

Complete and certify electrical maintenance on the contract base to include, but not limited to the following:
* Servicing relating to distribution boards, LV systems
* Emergency light annual test certification (not actual testing)
* Perform LVAP duties when necessary
* Ensure operations are completed under a safe system of work, drafting RAMS, works permits and isolation certification

Provide quotations, complete/supervise and certify electrical small works on the contract base to include, but not limited to the following:
* Fixed wire testing on applicable sized sites
* Circuit installations
* Lighting upgrades
* Ensure that the results of inspection and testing and minor works are recorded correctly on the appropriate certificates or reports
Manage a team of electrical engineers as the department grows, becoming a commercial decision maker. Being strategic for the whole department, providing options for possible investment to provide a better customer service to the clients.

Review of company training matrix and maintenance risk assessments, making sure the correct operatives are working in line with the company Electrical Policy.

To advise the company on statutory changes, guidance & updates on NIC best practice, keeping the electrical policy updated with the industry standards.

Attend scheduled company training, internally and externally.

Attend company meetings when requested, internally and externally.

Key Skills / qualifications

Have at least two consecutive years supervisory or managerial responsibility for the standard of electrical installation work.
Understand the Electricity at Work Regulations, current edition of BS 7671, and the Codes of Practice and guidance documents relevant to the range of electrical work undertaken.
Understand the inspection, testing, verification, certification and reporting procedures for the range of electrical work undertaken.
Previous experience as a qualified supervisor essential.
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation
* Level 3 qualification in Inspection and Testing (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
* AM2 Assessment
* Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018 (18th Edition)
