Our client is one of the largest suppliers for the food and beverage processing industry and a wide range of other process industries.

We are resourcing for experienced Electrical Wire people to join their team near Southampton initially until the end of 2024 although a strong likelihood of the opportunities lasting longer.

Roles and responsibilities will include:

· Read and understand technical schematics and loop drawings.

· Understand intrinsically safe circuits (Exi).

· Wiring of both large and small scale machines including methodically running cables, identification tagging and termination of electrical connections.

· Work well as an individual within a team, communicating issues to the line manager using correct engineering terminology.

· Strictly adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of the appropriate protective clothing.

· Partake in technical and safety training.


Your profile and qualifications

· Must have either a level 3 City and Guilds (or NVQ) Electrical Installation qualification or Level 3 BTEC in Electrical Engineering.

· Preferred experience in working with P&ID diagrams.

· Must be able to Communicate effectively and efficiently within a team.

· Demonstrate problem-solving ability to recognise issues or discrepancies within assembly stage.

· Must be able to supply your own tooling, specialist tooling only will be provided when required.

Hours: (39 per week Monday to Friday)

7.30am - 4pm (Monday to Thursday)
7.30am - 2.30pm (Friday)

It is likely that plenty of overtime will be available although this cannot be guaranteed.

Pay:
£17.50 per hour (PAYE)
