Adecco are looking for an experienced and professional Electronic test and repair engineer to join our well established client located in the Newcastle under Lyme area.

Temporary role with the view to lead to a permanent position after 12 weeks.

Full time hours Monday-Thursday 7:00AM-4:00PM and Friday 7:00AM-12 NOON.

Rate from £14.80PH

As an Electronic Test & Repair Engineer you will provide support to a busy manufacturing team, responsible for the testing and repairing of electronic equipment, diagnosing faults and supporting other tasks within the department.

Main responsibilities:

  • To carry out testing and repairs of electronic systems down to component level on digital and analogue circuits
  • To repair CCTV equipment, PCs, UPS and switch modes power supplies
  • To use a variety of test equipment including power supplies, oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers as required
  • To follow electronic schematics, gerber files, CAD layouts, wiring diagrams and diagnostic fault trees and complex engineering instructions
  • To work on electronic equipment and diagnose faults without the aid of a test specification, bill of materials, items list or electronic schematics where required and be able to develop supporting documentation for repeat repairs
  • To maintain accurate process data/records/documentation associated with your work
  • To adhere to health and safety standards, quality standards, policies and procedures
  • To collaborate with technical, quality and other departments when required

Candidate skills and requirements-

  • Excellent communication skills- ability to liaise with other departments and management when required
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous electrical experience
  • Ability to conduct root cause analysis
  • Knowledge of using various machinery and equipment
  • Understanding of electrical repair work
  • Able to resolve issues in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to deadlines
  • Desire to continuously learn and improve skills
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Proactive and positive attitude
