Location: Outskirts of Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire.
Shifts: Mornings and afternoons rotating.
Payrate: £24.37 - £28.05 umbrella / £19 and £21.80 (paye) / Depending on experience.
This is a long-term contract with the possibility for permanent work in the future should you want it.
Role Overview:
The successful candidates will be involved in intricate electrical tasks primarily focused on locomotive systems.
Responsibilities include:
* Routing cables through locomotive chassis and bodywork.
* Renewing wiring and looms.
* Executing crimping operations to a high standard.
* Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
* Undertaking a rigorous conversion program with a strong emphasis on quality and excellence.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven background in electrical wiring within sectors such as Aviation, Military, Automotive, or Plant Electrical/Electronics. Candidates from the Rail industry are also highly encouraged to apply.
* A qualification in Electrical or Electronics.
* Keen attention to detail.
* Exceptional work ethic and reliability.
* Commitment to maintaining high standards of work.
* Proficient in diagnostics, fault finding, and using testing tools.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support colleagues in mechanical tasks.
Additional Requirements:
Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces as required by job demands.
Work Schedule:
37.5 hours per week with potential for occasional overtime.
Monday to Friday with weekly rotating shifts: Early shift (06:00 to 14:30) and Late shift (14:00 to 22:30).
