Plant Technician
  • Career Level: Experienced (apprentice-trained preferred)

We are seeking an experienced Plant Technician to support our Plant Operations Team. The role involves carrying out electrical maintenance on Mobile Water treatment equipment, as well as other routine maintenance tasks and regeneration operations. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in electrical control systems and PLC software, particularly Siemens and Allen Bradley.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on control systems including PLCs, SCADA, and DCS.
  • Provide electrical and PLC support to the Plant and Assembly Team.
  • Produce documentation/drawings for the plant PLC.
  • Maintain electrical control systems in containers, trailers, and skids, including lighting, direct on-line, instrumentation, pumps/motors, etc.
  • Conduct PLC modifications and fault finding in the regeneration plant and on control systems for mobile water treatment equipment.
  • Assist in the development of plant modification and improvement work.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and uphold work rules and processes.
  • Adhere to EHS and Quality standards and contribute to their improvement.
  • Participate in training and team meetings.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC software.
  • Proficient in fault finding in control systems.
  • Ability to maintain electrical control systems.
  • Experience in producing documentation for plant PLCs.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Experience in industrial electrical works.
  • EHS and Quality awareness.
  • 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • NVQ3 in electrical based units or equivalent.
  • Drawing software training or experience is beneficial.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in the Water treatment industry is an advantage.
