Elevation Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a reputable manufacturing business in Sheffield who are looking for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their growing maintenance division.

The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will report into the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for preventative and reactive maintenance within a heavy industry environment.

Working Hours: Continental shifts – 4 on 4 off (days and nights)

Salary: £48,000 + average 10% bonus (OTE circa £55k + overtime on top)

Electrical Maintenance Engineer duties and responsibilities include:

  • Reacting to breakdowns on heavy industry machinery such as furnaces, overhead cranes, automated machines and robots
  • Follow the PPM schedule to prevent downtime on the machinery
  • Adhere to the health and safety policies at all times
  • Liaise with production in relation to timescales of the breakdowns
  • Highlight any major issues to the Maintenance Manager
  • Forward-thinking of continuous improvement on the machinery to prevent future breakdowns

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Level 3 or above in Electrical Engineering
  • Previous experience working in a medium to heavy industry environment
  • Advantage if you have experience with PLC’s but not essential
