Resolute Recruitment are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, for a manufacturing company based in Dudley. This will be a permanent position, within an exciting business that are experiencing a lot of growth.

Location: Dudley

Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Salary:

• £15.93 per hour (Rate 1 - Standard)
• £19.11 per hour (Rate 2 - Overtime during week)
• £31.86 per hour (Rate 3 - Overetime Sunday & BH)
• £23.89 per hour (Rate 4 - Overtime Saturday)

Electrical Maintenance Engineer - The Job:

You will be part of a 2-man team working a 3-shift rota. On your team will be a Mechanical fitter, and yourself the Electrician. You will be tasked to carry out preventative maintenance tasks as well as be reactive with regards to plant breakdowns and repairs.
You will also be required to carry out Installation work on machinery and within the factory and any maintenance work on bay lighting and other electrical services.
All actions need to be carried out in a safe and professional manor, reporting to supervisors, and filling out daily shift reports and other necessary paperwork.

• 1. Installation work on both factory and process machinery.
2. Fault find on 415v, 240v, 110v and 24vac and dc systems.
3. Follow CCT diagrams to aid fault finding.
4. PLC, establish necessary input/output (no program facility)
5. Fault find on OHC’s, Remote handsets, contactor function, fuses.
6. DC drives/inverters basic knowledge would be an advantage.
7. Maintain high bay lighting replacement, repair, and LED upgrade.
8. Test emergency lighting and evacuation alarm system.
9. Involved in CCT design and control panel building.
However as per the nature of the business, other general maintenance task wills be required.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Job Requirements:

Completed Apprenticeship/time served would be preferred. 18th Edition IEE Regs preferred, but not essential. NVQ level 3 or City and Guilds in Mechanical Maintenance or any other relevant qualification. We will need to see proof of certification.
Heavy Industrial work. Experience of Slitting/Decoiling machines would be an advantage.
Driving licence preferred but not essential.
3-month probationary period

Trade Test:

• Check fuses.
• Test continuity hydraulic/pneumatic coil
• Insulation resistance test 3 phase motor to earth
• Test motor windings continuity
• Identify equipment.
• Live test
• Look at Drawings.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Shift pattern:

• Week1: 6:00am-14:00pm Mon-Fri @ Rate 1
• Week 2: 20:00pm-6:00am Mon-Thurs @ Rate 2 + £1 /p/h antisocial allowance.
• Week 3: 1pm-9pm Mon-Thurs, and 10am-6pm Fri @ Rate 1
