Location: South Shields
Pay: £30k to 36.5k dependant on experience
Duration: permanent appointment, full time 5 days per week

We are seeking an Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver Level 3 to Level 5 Electrical Installation to 16+ year-olds. Please note, we are open to speaking with those directly from industry that feel teaching is something you may want to explore, and we would be happy to discuss these steps with you.
What’s the day-to-day responsibilities of an Electrical Installation Lecturer?
- Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work and lessons plans to College requirements
- Deliver inspiring sessions across the curriculum using a wide range of teaching methods for identified modules.
- Assess student work, provide constructive and timely feedback to motivate and inspire the learner to improve and record learners’ progress for identified modules.
- Carry out internal verification duties in line with quality assurance processes. Develop and strengthen relationships with learners and provide support to ensure successful outcomes.
What are the required skills and qualifications needed for this role?
- Ability to plan, deliver and assess teaching across identified modules and units.
- Ability to inspire and motivate learners to achieve their optimum
- Teaching Qualification or Assessor Award or a willingness to work towards.
- At Least a Level 3 Qualification in Electrical Installation, or Electrical Engineering
- Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- IT literate, with a decent understanding of basic Microsoft packages such as Teams and Outlook
