Electrical Estimator
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost of electrical projects, analysing project requirements, and preparing comprehensive bids. The Electrical Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that all estimates align with project specifications and budgetary constraints.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to understand project requirements.
- Perform quantity take-offs and material pricing to accurately estimate project costs.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for electrical projects.
- Analyse project risks and opportunities to develop cost-effective solutions.
- Present estimates to clients and participate in negotiation discussions as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, bids, and project-related documentation.
- Stay updated on industry trends, pricing, and technology to enhance estimating accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the construction or electrical contracting industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in estimating software.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
