Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer? Do you consider yourself to be reliable and an asset to a busy team? Are you based in or around Willenhall?

We have a permanent Electrical maintenance Engineer role available within TATA Steel's Willenhall site. This role is ideal for someone with preventive electrical maintenance skills and is able to work to the shift pattern below.

Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: TATA Steel, Steelpark Way, Willenhall, Wolverhampton WV11 3SQ

Salary: £42,480 per annum (with an 18% shift allowance included)

Shift Patterns: 37.5 hours per week on a rotating 3-shift pattern as shown below:

Morning Shift - Monday to Thursday - 06:00 to 14:00 and Friday - 06:00 to 11:50

Night Shift - Monday to Thursday - 22:00 to 06:00 and Friday - No Night shift

Afternoons Shift - Monday to Thursday - 14:00 to 22:00 , Friday - 11:50 to 17:40 and Sat or Sun - 06:00 to 16:00

Start: ASAP

Responsibilities:

  • Performing necessary breakdown repairs
  • Leading preventative maintenance activity
  • Facilitating the promotion of Engineering solutions for process improvement
  • Optimising process availability and productivity through carrying out the above
  • Maintain all process and auxiliary equipment across the Steel park

Essential requirements:

  • Hold a recognised Electrical maintenance Qualification (level 3, BTEC, NC, NVQ equivalent) or have completed an electrical apprenticeship
  • Expertise with AC and DC motor/gearbox drive systems
  • Ability to interpret electrical drawings
  • Experience with PLC's in the main Siemens & Allen Bradley including HMI's
  • Experience with Variable speed motor control with inverters and converters, including speed feedback devices
  • Ability to problem solve independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to articulate efficiently
  • Motivated approach to tasks

Desirable requirements:

  • Driving licence and use of a car
