Electrical Engineer – Maintenance

Huntingdon

£35,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience within manufacturing sector)

Our client is looking to add to their maintenance team and with a new experienced maintenance engineer with 80% electrical biais

The role’s primary objective is to maximising production output by fast & effective fault-finding & remedy to minimise downtime. Working within a small and friendly team you will be responsible for ensuring that production equipment is pro-actively maintained to keep production running and prevent unplanned breakdowns.  

Key Responsibilities:

Perform preventative & planned maintenance, both electrical & mechanical.

Working on high-speed production, packaging, and automated machinery.

Servicing, testing & repairs of all site services / facilities equipment.

Anticipate/identify both electrical & mechanical problems for improvement/repair.

Dealing with conveyors, motors, gearboxes, sensors, inverters, pneumatics, servo drives, control panels, pumps, compressors, bearings, shafts.

PLC - electrical fault finding.

Continuous improvement projects, new machinery installations & modifications

Person Specification

Recognized Electrical Apprenticeship or equivalent qualification within Engineering, ideally City & Guilds 18th edition certified.

Have strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & problem-solving skills

Working knowledge of H&S

Experienced in a manufacturing environment desired but not essential.

Strong team player with a continuous Improvement approach
