Salary : £35-£50k (DOE)
Hours : 08:15-17:00 Monday-Thursday & 08:15-13:00 Friday.
As an Electrical Design Engineer you will be expected to provide expert support to the engineering team regarding the design of the equipment and applications. This role is pivotal to the success of the business as they strive to develop innovative solutions exceeding customer expectations and bringing new products to the market.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop electrical systems and components for various projects
Produce and approve electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts using CAD software
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure designs meet project requirements
Select appropriate materials and components for electrical systems
Conduct testing and debugging of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in electrical design
Provide technical support to other departments
Experience required:
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles and practices
5 Years experience with medium & high voltage design experience in accordance with IEC 60204 & 61439
High proficiency in using Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical software
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to debug electrical systems
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in design work
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members across multiple departments
Qualified to degree level in electrical engineering
Experience of the product CE marking process and DFMEA.
