Electrical Craftsperson

We have a permanent Electrical Maintenance Craftsperson role available within TATA Steel's steel and slab department. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills and is proactive, reliable and sees work through to completion.

Role: Electrical Maintenance Craftsperson

Location: TATA Steel, Shapfell Limestone Quarries, Penrith CA10 3QG

Rate: Total package:£38,000 per annum.

£31,500 base salary, £3000 call out allowance, £1,200 annualised hours and sponsorship for HNC course worth £4300

Hours: 36.5 hours per week

Essential requirements:

• Driving licence and use of a car
• A minimum of NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a relevant electrical trade
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience and qualifications within the industrial sector
• 18th edition IEE qualified
• Strong knowledge of Health and Safety practises
• Experience within electrical maintenance and fault finding within a commercial/industrial and/or engineering environment
• Good IT literacy skills

Responsibilities:

• Achieving operational targets set by senior management at the plant
• Providing top quality service to stakeholders
• Adhering to Health and Safety legislation at all times
• Fault finding
• Reporting and recording maintenance and repair details
• Using IT systems and maintenance management system
• Reacting to engineering, quality and safety issues as they arise
• Initiating corrective actions
