Job Role: Electrical Chargehand

Location: Sheffield

Shifts: Days only

Salary: £37,000 - £38,000 per annum

Metalis are working with a prestigious and well established company who have sites across the UK, they work within the heavy engineering industry manufacturing components for a wide range of different industries.

Job Duties:

  • Assist and lead the electrical team in maintenance, PPM's and installations.
  • Deal with HR matters within the team as and when necessary.
  • Respond to breakdowns on plant machinery and equipment.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis and carry out repairs in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with the installation of new machinery and equipment.
  • Be proficient in fault diagnosis on a range of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Carry out fault finding and repairs on electrical systems including PLC controlled machinery.
  • Able to follow current Health & Safety legislation and company policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Apprentice trained in an electrical engineering discipline.
  • Have at least 5 years worth of experience within an electrician or electrical maintenance role ideally within a chargehand or leadership role.
  • Experience in PLC's would be beneficial.
  • Capable of reading electrical engineering drawings.
  • Must hold 18th edition wiring regulations.

Salary & Shift:

  • Days only.
  • Salary of between £37,000 - £38,000 per annum
  • Overtime paid at a premium rate
