Birmingham City Council are seeking qualified HCPC registered Educational Psychologists to support the service with EHC Needs Assessments working in an Associate Educational Psychologist project work capacity.

Your new role
Birmingham City Council are looking for Educational Psychologists who are looking for flexible, long-term allocations, with experience in assessment work. The role - carrying out EHC assessments and submitting them to the local authority, subject to QA or peer review.
This is a flexible role that gives you the opportunity to negotiate a preferred schedule in terms of number of days that you work, and which days you complete the work. This role is working from home, with assessments ideally done face to face. Remote working is a possibility but only for cases where it serves the best interest of the CYP and families. The number of assessments to be completed in an agreed time frame will be discussed on an individual basis with each candidate.
We offer competitive rates, £500 per day with 2 days allocated per case, outside IR35, with remote working (visits required).
If regular Associate work is agreed with Birmingham EPS (minimum 4 cases per month), then additionally, the Associate EP can attend some service CPD sessions at no cost.

What you\'ll need to succeed
Registered with the HCPC.
Availability to complete at least one assessment per month.
Enhanced DBS clearance
Willingness to visit and meet our CYP, their educational settings and families in the city.
To work within the quality standards guidelines set for the service.
Experience of working with professionals from other agencies.
An ability to prioritise and manage workloads.
To provide timely Psychological Advice and liaise proactively with linked managers.
Recent experience working as an Educational Psychologist in the UK.
