Domus Recruitment are working with our client based in Totnes, who are looking for a new Education Skills & Employment Finance Business Partner to join their Central Finance team. This is a hybrid role, with 3 days at home and 2 days in the Totnes office, with occasional travel to education site.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone that has operated within a SLT, preferably within a SEND provision.

Key Responsibilities of a Education Skills & Employment Finance Business Partner:

  • To monitor financial transactions across education, skills and employment (ESE) including income and expenditure.
  • Act as the key liaison for the Department for Education and Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
  • Responsible for the day-to-day financial transaction of ‘ESE’ in particular education tuition fees, bursaries, fee structures, invoicing and purchasing.
  • Maintain an updated costing record for students and keep track of all ESE income and contractual obligations.
  • Build professional relationships internally and externally.
  • To include the clients’ central Finance Team, Local Authorities and other external funders.
Education Skills & Employment Finance Business Partner Requirements:
  • Successful working within a senior leadership team.
  • Working as part of a college senior team.
  • Working with a range of external partners, including SEND commissioners.
  • Experience of SEND provision.
  • Project management desirable.
  • Ability to work strategically.
  • High degree of analytical skills.
  • High level leadership and communication skills.
  • Risk management.
  • Good IT skills and ability to interpret performance data.
  • Effective presentation skills.
