Editor - £35,000 - c£40,000 on experience

Overview

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Editor or a Senior Reporter/Assistant Editor to join a well-established B2B Publisher related to engineering. You will be trained to lead B2B media portfolios across print and digital platforms. The candidate will be based mainly in the office but with some international travel opportunities for trade events and press briefings.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing the layout, appearance and content of articles and news across print and digital media channels
• Planning the editorial schedule, writing, editing and commissioning copy
• for freelance writers.
• Generating ideas for features with the editorial and advertising teams. Proofreading all editorial pages before going to press.
• Working closely with the advertising sales team to help grow the title’s portfolio via new and existing revenue streams.
• Producing concise and accurate copy according to the Company's house style and to strict deadlines.
• Creating news and video content for the Company’s digital channels.

Requirements

• A solid background in B2B publishing is needed
• Some more technical writing skills are essential - automotive or engineering publications can be a good match
• A track record of hitting deadlines and successful innovation in print and digital media.
