Role

Due to expansion, they are seeking a Ecommerce Sales Manager to join their ecommerce team. Reporting Directly to the Managing Director, you will manage their presence and performance on external trading platforms, optimising operations, driving sales, and building key relationships with their partners – Amazon, Wayfair and others. This role involves a combination of strategic planning, coordination, and execution to maximise sales and profitability within these digital platforms.

Duties

  • Building and maintaining relationships with marketplace representatives, account managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and evaluate third-party online trading platforms that align with our goals and target market
  • Collaborating with platform partners to explore opportunities for growth, resolve issues, and optimise performance
  • Proactively identifying opportunities for process optimisation, automation, and efficiency gains within the marketplace operations
  • Implementing changes and enhancements to drive continuous improvement and achieve strategic objective
  • Manage inventory levels and availability across multiple third-party platforms to prevent stockouts or overstock situations
  • Developing pricing strategies and promotional campaigns to drive sales and maintain competitiveness within the marketplace
  • Analysing key performance metrics such as sales, conversion rates, traffic sources, and customer feedback to evaluate the effectiveness of marketplace initiatives
  • Generating regular reports to track progress against goals and identify areas for improvement
  • Create detailed forecast creation, maintenance, and management across all customers at line level

Criteria

  • Solid understanding of e-commerce principles, including online marketplace dynamics, trends, and best practices
  • Familiarity with various online platforms such as Amazon, eBay
  • Strong marketing and sales acumen to develop effective strategies for driving sales, optimising product listings, and maximising profitability within online marketplaces.
  • Skills in tools like Google Analytics, Microsoft Excel, and marketplace analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels and techniques, including search engine optimisation (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) advertising, email marketing, and social media marketing
  • Experience in inventory management practices, including forecasting, replenishment, and optimisation is desirable
  • Familiarity with using various e-commerce platforms, content management systems (CMS), and marketplace seller interfaces
  • The ability to think strategically and develop long-term plans to achieve business objectives within online marketplaces
  • Strong organisational and project management skills to coordinate multiple tasks, prioritise initiatives, and meet deadlines effectively. Experience with project management tools or methodologies can be beneficial
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements is crucial for success in this role
