ELECTRICAL & CONTROL ENGINEER

WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN EC&I ENGINEER WITH EXPERIENCE WORKING IN HIGH HAZARD INDUSTRIES TO JOIN A GROWING AVIATION PROJECT

  • Hybrid Role - 2 days a week on-site in Bristol, Epsom, Aldershot, or London
  • Up to £70,000
  • Active SC is preferred but can provide SC prior to starting

WHAT WILL THE ELECTRICAL & CONTROL ENGINEER BE DOING?

The position entails contributing to the conceptualisation of Electrical, Control, and Instrumentation (EC&I) system solutions for our clients. Our clients are heavily Nuclear, Aerospace or Defence focused so these systems range from straightforward and traditional EC&I hardwired systems to intricate multi-panel systems with substantial programmable components, often deployed in safety or security-sensitive environments.

Additionally:

  • Engage with clients to understand technical needs and develop successful working relationships.
  • Verification of junior engineer's EC&I technical documentation.
  • Assist with technical input for proposals/tenders.

WE NEED THE ELECTRICAL & CONTROL ENGINEER TO HAVE…

  • Knowledge and experience of a broad range of electrical control equipment and its application in automated and safety related systems.
  • Good knowledge of process systems and how to control them.
  • Knowledge of electrical and safety sector standards including BS EN 61508.
  • A good understanding of the safety lifecycle for EC&I safety systems.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and system integration, HMI and SCADA configuration and development, software testing techniques and experience of installation and commissioning of PLC / SCADA systems.
