Job Description:

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant to join our team at one of our primary schools in south Leeds. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic and behavioral support to our youngest students. If you have experience working with children and a passion for education, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons
  • Provide individual support to early years students as needed
  • Monitor student behavior and maintain a positive and safe classroom environment
  • Grade assignments and provide feedback to students
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing lesson materials and maintaining classroom organization
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by the teacher or school principal

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as an early years teaching assistant or similar role
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team setting
  • A passion for education and a desire to help students achieve their full potential
