Our client operates a reputable day nursery in Peterborough, providing children with the support and care to develop skills and confidence. Trained staff inspire learning through play, ensuring every child has fun while developing social skills and exploring the world.


About the Role:

As an Early Years Practitioner, you'll play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing environment for children. You'll interact, supervise, and support children's learning while contributing to the day-to-day running of the nursery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact, supervise, and ensure the safety and happiness of children
  • Act as a key worker, responsible for learning and assessments
  • Contribute to planning and assessment
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines
  • Support the nursery team and children, including basic care tasks
  • Share responsibility for safeguarding and promoting children's welfare


The Ideal Candidate:

The nursery is seeking someone passionate about childcare, with a nurturing demeanour and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in childcare or early years education
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety regulations
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team
  • Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with children
