Are you passionate about nurturing young minds and ensuring every child reaches their full potential? We're seeking a dedicated Early Years Learning Support Assistant to join our vibrant team at a welcoming Primary School in North Leeds!

As an Early Years Learning Support Assistant, you'll play a crucial role in supporting children aged 3 years and above in their educational journey. Your primary focus will be on implementing the Early Years Curriculum, providing tailored support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), and acting as a key worker for assigned students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the Early Years Curriculum, fostering a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to children with SEN, adapting activities to meet individual needs.
  • Act as a key worker for designated children, building strong relationships with both students and their families.
  • Assist in planning and organising engaging activities that promote holistic development across all areas of learning.
  • Collaborate with teachers and fellow support staff to assess progress and implement effective strategies for intervention.

Requirements:

  • A passion for working with young children and a commitment to their well-being and development.
  • Relevant qualifications in Childhood Studies, Early Years Practice, or related field.
  • Experience working with children aged 3 years and above, preferably within a school or nursery setting.
  • Knowledge of SEN principles and strategies for supporting children with diverse learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain) and commitment to safeguarding children.
