EAL/TEFL Teacher - Private School in East Kent

Academics have been approached by a private school in East Kent to support them in sourcing an EAL/TEFL Teacher to start 12th April 2024. This school provides a challenging and supportive learning environment for students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds. If you are passionate about teaching English to non-native speakers and enjoy working in a multicultural setting, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver effective and engaging EAL lessons to students at all levels
  • Develop resources and materials to support students' language learning and development
  • Assess students' language proficiency and track their progress over time
  • Provide support and guidance to students to facilitate their integration into the school community
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

  • At least a Bachelor's degree in English, TESOL, EAL or related field
  • Relevant teaching experience in EAL, preferably in a multicultural environment
  • Knowledge of current teaching methodology and techniques for EAL instruction
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to work effectively in a team
  • Commitment to professional development and ongoing learning
