EAL Teacher Job - Derby

Hays Education are working with an alternative provision in Derby who are looking for an EAL Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis asap.

Your new role
Within this role, you will be working full-time within a small class of students. You will be working alongside teaching assistants within the classroom to allow all students to access the curriculum. Using your knowledge and experience, your job will be to encourage learning and engagement by taking a tailored and holistic approach. You will be responsible for supporting students in their learning as well as their social, emotional and personal wellbeing.

What you'll need to succeed

• Professional teaching qualification
• Recent and relevant EAL experience
• Previous experience with challenging behaviour and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
• SEND and SEMH experience
• Passion for supporting teaching and learning
