Role: E-Commerce and Amazon Sales Manager

Location: Bridgend (open to Hybrid working)

Salary: Dependant on experience

Located in South Wales, this established company is the undisputed leader in a high-growth sector in the sports industry. Our client has two of the industry's leading brands and they are regularly viewed by millions of fans via Sky Sports. The company is very successful and has a history of over 100 years.

With staggering success in their market, our client is poised for greater global expansion. As pioneers in their field, they've achieved large online sales. The industry is growing rapidly, and the company are further investing in their data-driven E-commerce sales strategy. The E-commerce and Amazon Sales Manager will drive sales growth through a wide range of globally recognised e-commerce platforms from Amazon to eBay to Decathlon and will aim to optimise customer online experiences and use data to improve performance.

This role will be responsible for

  • Coordinating and growing the eCommerce and Amazon capabilities globally.
  • Managing, maintaining and updating the E-commerce platform (s).
  • Monitor and analyse market trends, customer behaviour and competitor activities.
  • Create and manage marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media advertising, SEO/SEM and affiliate marketing.
  • Analyse data including web analytics and customer insights.
  • Monitor and respond to customer feedback.
  • Prepare reports on key metrics, sales trends, customer behaviour and campaign effectiveness.
  • Implement strategies to increase sales, improve product rankings, and maximize revenue on the Amazon platform.
  • Leveraging Amazon Brand Analytics or other third-party analytics tools looking at Search frequency, Market Basket Analysis, Repeat purchase behaviour and Customer demographics.
  • Coordinate with the inventory and logistics teams to maintain adequate stock levels on Amazon and/or other platforms.
  • Optimize fulfilment processes to ensure timely and accurate order processing.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional activities and capitalize on seasonal/industry trends.
  • Stay informed about Amazon policies and ensure compliance with all marketplace rules and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the international e-commerce sales strategy, with a strong emphasis on maximizing online & Amazon sales for international markets.
  • Manage and coordinate product listings, including product descriptions, images, pricing, and inventory availability, across multiple international Amazon and other marketplaces.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, conversion rates, customer reviews, and search rankings to identify opportunities for improvement by working together with other team members.
  • Content listing optimisation to improve page rank, SEO, and sales e.g. sales promotions, shipping costs, and uplift in multiple product offers.
  • Perform in-depth keyword and competitor analyses, enhance product titles, descriptions, categorizations, and A++ content, and work closely with the Creative team to produce compelling visual assets for optimal performance.
  • Stay up to date with e-commerce and Amazon best practices, and industry trends.
  • Manage relationships with Global Amazon account managers.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics, sales trends, and actionable insights to the international management team.

Experience needed

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. An MBA is a plus.
  • Detailed proven experience managing international e-commerce sales, specifically on Amazon platforms for consumer goods.
  • In-depth knowledge of Amazon's marketplace policies, algorithms, and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of Amazon Seller Central, including product listing optimisation and advertising features.
  • Experience leveraging Amazon Brand Analytics or other third-party analytics tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with e-commerce and digital marketing trends.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
