Your new company
We are seeking an experienced Design and Technology Teacher with a core focus on woodwork to join a secondary school located near Middlesbrough. This is a temporary position with the possibility of a permanent role available for the right candidate. The start date for this position is ASAP, and the role is full-time, Monday to Friday. The ideal candidate should have experience in teaching Design and Technology with a strong focus on woodwork.
Your new role
- Develop and deliver engaging and creative lesson plans that follow the national curriculum and meet the needs of all students.- Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that fosters positive relationships and respect for diversity.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to facilitate student learning and maintain high standards of classroom management.
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent- Experience teaching Design and Technology, with a focus on woodwork
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
- A commitment to continued professional development
