Horizon Teachers are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join a vibrant Secondary School in the beautiful borough of Kingston! As a key member of our team, you'll have the opportunity to ignite the imaginations of our students and foster their skills in design, engineering, and craftsmanship.

The role of a DT Teacher:
  • Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cover a range of Design and Technology disciplines, including woodworking, metalworking, electronics, and graphic design.
  • Cultivate a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to explore their creativity and take risks in their designs.
  • Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students develop their technical skills and refine their design concepts.
  • Develop engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles

What you will need:
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for exploring new technologies and design trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Experience working with secondary school-aged students is desirable but not essential.
  • A commitment to promoting a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
