About the Role

This is a dynamic role, which will allow you to work in some of the most beautiful areas in Dorset
throughout the summer months.
As a driver, the purpose and impact allows you to contribute to the cleansing of public areas and be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness in line with Dorset Waste Partnership.

What is the day-to-day of the role:

Required as part of daily duties is driving and being responsible for 7.5T DWP vehicle.

• We are looking for someone who loves working outdoors and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty.
• You should be comfortable with lifting and moving things around.
• It would be great if you like talking to people and helping to solve problems.
• Don't worry if you haven't done this before, as long as you're ready to learn and work as part of a team!
• To be considered for this post you must hold a minimum Category C driving licence, have a current digital tachograph card and evidence of a completed Drivers CPC qualification is essential.

Driving Duties:

• (Level 2) Drive a cleansing/refuse/recycling collection vehicle size 7.5 tonne (Category C1) and any other allocated DWP vehicle below this size, for which correct licence is held, in a safe and responsible manner.
  
  

Requirements of the role:

To be considered for this post you must hold a minimum Category C driving licence, have a current digital tachograph card and evidence of a completed Drivers CPC qualification is essential

Skills, abilities & knowledge

Reasonable knowledge and experience within area of responsibility
Knowledge of relevant standards, and techniques
Knowledge of health and safety and/or other regulations including CNEA 2005
Working knowledge of driving related vehicle maintenance
Good communication skills
Systematic and well organised
Team leadership
