We're looking for a Drainage Design Team Leader to join our Transportation team based in our Design Office in Salford, Manchester.  You'll specialise in highways drainage, as well as expertise in water utilities and Lead Local Flood Authority (LLFA).  This role within Kier Design Services contributes to impactful projects. A driving licence is an essential requirement for this position.  Could this be you?

Location: Salford, Manchester - with occasional remote working available

Contract: Permanent Fulltime

Salary: £50k - £52k + car or car allowance + private healthcare + benefits

Responsibilities

As a Drainage Design Team Leader, you'll be responsible for leading, developing and enabling a strong team of effective resources to successfully delivery a portfolio of projects to established standards, timelines, and budgetary constraints across diverse design contracts.

Your day to day will include:

  • Developing fee estimates and programmes from client briefing statements.
  • Lead the team through technically challenging projects and/or solutions.
  • Ensure latest design standards and lessons learnt are applied to projects and risk management in undertaken in relation to project delivery.
  • Building strong relationships with all clients (internal and external) and stakeholders to continue building on the current reputation.

What are we looking for?

This role of Drainage Design Team Leader is great if you are:

  • Chartered/Incorporated Engineer
  • Civil Engineering degree - or a similar combination of qualifications and/or experience
  • Experience in a similar role and successfully leading teams
  • Project management qualification and/or experience
