Our teams consistently go above and beyond to build relationships with our residents and their families and make a real difference to their lives. Although challenging at times, this will be one of the most satisfying jobs you will ever have.

The role of a carer in a Domiciliary Care team involves helping residents with practical tasks such as getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, toileting, hygiene, food preparation, cleaning and laundry. It also includes supporting them emotionally and socially to remain independent, and in control of their lives. Building a relationship of trust is the foundation to exercising choice and feeling valued. Carers also support residents with their medication when assessed as needing this support. Full training will be given.

Each resident has an electronic care plan. Carers play an important role in entering progress notes from their visits and reading what others have entered, therefore a good level of IT skills including the use of mobile phones is required.

If this sounds appealing and you'd like to learn, we'd love to hear from you. Please e-mail: for a full job description, or visit jobs to learn more and hear from some of our amazing team about their experiences of working for the St Monica Trust.
