Salary: £53,000 per annum
Location:  Bedford
Type of Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: 8:30-4:30, 5 days a week including weekends

The role…

The role is a Live-In position where you’ll be accommodated in a private house separate from the main residence.

As the Domestic Couple, one of you will be responsible for the general housekeeping and one will act as the estates manager and driver. 

• The housekeeper will be responsible for:
  
  • Cleaning the house and preparing for events and prestigious guests.
  • General laundry and ironing.
  • The occasional cooking for the family and assisting in the kitchen for events. 
  • Assisting when the family are entertaining guests.
  • Shoe cleaning.
  • Shopping for groceries and general errands. 
• The estates manager/handyman and driver will be responsible:
  
  • Maintenance within and outside the residence
  • Assisting with tending the gardens (there are other Gardeners employed)
  • Cleaning and maintenance of the swimming pool
  • General administration duties, i.e. insurance renewal, burglar alarm maintenance etc. 
  • Driving the family to meetings or events where necessary. 

Flexibility with duties will be required and cohesive teamwork is important to ensure the smooth running of the residence.

All roles are very much hands-on rather than management so a ‘can do’ and cheerful, positive attitude is essential. 

The experience required…

As a successful Domestic Couple, you will have the following:

• A full clean UK Driving Licence
• Previous experience running a private household in a professional capacity is essential.
• Experience assisting in hosting evening events and parties.
• Proven longevity and glowing references from previous employers are required.
• Prior experience working in a similar setting
