RSR Justice are currently recruiting on behalf of our client based in Derbyshire for a Domestic Abuse Support Worker.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in domestic abuse and community support work. This position requires a compassionate and empathetic individual who is committed to assisting individuals affected by domestic abuse.

This is a full time, temporary role initially for month and offers a par rate of £10.42 per hour.

Full driving license and access to own vehicle is essential for this position.

Main Duties:

  • Provide support and advocacy to individuals affected by domestic abuse within the community.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety planning for clients.
  • Deliver practical and emotional support to clients, including referrals to relevant services.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and professionals to ensure holistic support for clients.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and progress

Essential Requirements:

  • Previous experience in domestic abuse and community support work preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Sensitivity to issues surrounding domestic abuse and confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of local support services and resources is advantageous.
  • Commitment to promoting the safety and well-being of individuals affected by domestic abuse.

Role is subject to DBS check at the relevant level.
