RSR Justice are currently recruiting on behalf of a charity organisation based in Salford, Manchester for a Domestic Abuse Case Worker to provide information, education, awareness and support as part of early help and prevention for victims/survivors to reduce service demand and provide step-down from IDVA services.

This is a temporary, full-time (may consider part-time) role, offering a rate of £13.19 per hour.

Immediate starts available.

Main Duties:

  • Increase knowledge and awareness of domestic abuse and referral pathways for support within the local community.
  • Provide asset-based 1:1 keyworker support to women and men experiencing Domestic Abuse, enabling them to overcome personal and practical barriers and empowering them to lead happier and safer lives.
  • Conduct assessments of survivor’s needs and to track their progress towards the achievement of agreed outcome measures.
  • Proactively liaising and collaborating with other members of the organisation’s staff team who can also provide direct support to the project’s participants (e.g., Fuel Poverty Advisor, Money Management Team).
  • Establish systems for feedback from service users and partners.
  • Implement and comply with all the Foundation’s policies, including the Safeguarding Policy and Procedures and ground rules for implementing appropriate behaviour with children, young people, and adults.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience of working with individuals who have experienced domestic abuse and those who have multiple and complex needs.
  • Experience of providing targeted support to victims/survivors of honour-based violence, FGM, BAME, parents, LGBTQ+ service users.
  • Experience of delivering holistic interventions.
  • Experience of delivering asset-based 1:1 key-working.
  • Experience of delivering group-work sessions and programmes.
  • Experience of holding a case load of Standard to medium risk domestic abuse survivors.
  • Full current driving licence and car available to be used for business purposes.

The service will be offered in gender specific spaces and women only need apply (Paragraph 1, Schedule 9 Equality Act 2010).

Role is subject to DBS check at the relevant level.
