Document Controller - Gateshead

An opportunity has arisen for a Document Controller to join a market leader in the products they produce based in Gateshead.

Salary - £26,000 - £29,000

Hours - Monday to Thursday - 7:30 - 4:30 and Friday 7:30 - 1:30

Main Duties - Document Controller

  • Responsible for the creation and control of pre-production documentation according to client specifications.
  • Working alongside the Contract Engineers to ensure documentation is submitted on time and to project requirements.
  • Creation, submission and control of Notifications of Inspection and sub-supplier documentation in line with internal and customer requirements
  • Ensuring effective transfer and receipt of relevant information between the company and the customer to ensure projects achieve planned delivery timescales.
  • Generate, submit, and control shipping of completed goods, liaising with internal personnel to gain confirmation of despatching and invoicing transactions, and working with the customers representatives for collection of goods from site.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong ICT skills and experience of using Microsoft Office programs
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skill
  • Be organised and able to work to defined deadlines
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team or as an individual
  • Be comfortable in a customer facing role
  • Be experienced in developing and maintaining relationships
