A great opportunity for a Divisional Manager (North East), to work for a Ladieswear fashion retailer, who have stores across the UK high street, selling items such as clothing, accessories and footwear.

This region will cover 20-23 stores.

Duties included:

To ensure that all actions are governed by Company KPI's and Objectives. To ensure that Store sales across their Area are maximized and that all company targets are met. Company policies and procedures are followed and adhered to at all times. To recruit, train, develop and motivate all Store management to a pre-determined level of efficiency that is acceptable to the Company.

STORE PROFITABILITY & LOSS

Ensure all Stores within their Area are adequately staffed at all times so as to provide good customer service.

Ensure all Store costs relating to stores within their Area are monitored closely and regularly.

Ensure all utilities, i.e.: heating, lighting and water are used in the most economical manner by the store teams on their Area.

Check that all procedures within the Loss Prevention Manual are being adhered to within each of the stores on their Area. Take the necessary action to ensure this is the case.

Maximise each Stores sales potential by reviewing stock levels and quality of stock on offer with the management team. Aid the management of stock and aim to influence key actions to improve each store offer by department.

SALES/CUSTOMER SERVICE

Ensure customer service is a key focus within their area. That all their customers are provided with a courteous, helpful service and assistance when advice is requested.

Motivate and manage all members of the teams on their Area to increase sales and ensure efficiency.

Ensure the branch and staff comply with all the laws relating to selling as laid down by the company.

Respond to customer, complaints and comments.

Builds an atmosphere in store to encourage customers to return.

Walks the store as if a customer and acts on what they may find.

Aligns product and services to meet customer requirements.

PERSONNEL

Ensure that Store staffing levels/recruitment is kept within their agreed budget.

Maintain high standards of appearance within their stores with regard to company uniform.

Be responsible for general welfare and discipline of their management teams through liaison with the HR department.

COMMUNICATION

Liaise with Regional Management regularly. Inform Regional manager of any actions/information which may benefit/effect the Company.

Be aware of which personnel to contact at Head Office for information and advice.

Update colleagues on company performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues.

Attend meetings as requested.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

Be responsible for personal safety at work by observing company regulations.

Ensure that actions do not endanger the safety of other members of staff or public.

Report potential hazards to Regional Manager immediately.

To demonstrate the ability to evaluate, take accountability and to develop ones own performance.
