Position: Disability Assessor
Location: Homebased (with some occasional onsite working)
Hours: Full Time (Part Time hours available after completion of training)
Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 + Bonus scheme.

Job Overview:

Back Office: As a Disability Assessor, you will be responsible for reviewing Personal Independence Payment (PIP) cases from the comfort of your home. This involves completing paper-based reviews, including terminally ill cases, and gathering essential medical evidence to support your assessments.

Front Office:
Engage in telephone, face-to-face, or virtual assessments with individuals presenting various physical, mental health, and/or learning disabilities. Subsequently, craft detailed reports based on your findings. While this role steps away from traditional clinical practices, it allows you to leverage your clinical skills in conducting in-depth assessments and producing accurate, detailed reports.

Training:
Training is provided for this role and is fully paid during the training course. Remote training will be conducted to ensure a seamless onboarding experience. Please refer to the Essential Person Specifications for specific details.

Essential Person Specifications:

  • A minimum of 12 months post-registration on the NMC/HCPC with full 12 months' experience in the clinical field.
  • Suitable occupations: Adult RGNs, RMNs, RNLDs, RNs, Occupational Therapists, Paramedics, and Physiotherapists.
  • Strong IT Skills with a comprehensive understanding of MS Packages and Teams database.
  • Active registration with the NMC/HCPC without restrictions on practice.
  • No previous Clinical Assessor experience required, although prior experience is beneficial.
  • A suitable and dedicated working area ensuring confidentiality and minimizing distractions.
Additional Information:
  • Homebased role with occasional onsite working.
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 am – 17:00 pm (37.5hrs).
