The Organisation

Our client is a charity supporting the needs of people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans.

They now looking for a Director of Engagement, Fundraising and Communications to join them on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

The Role

As our Director of Engagement, Fundraising and Communications, you will maximise our client’s impact by driving their engagement, fundraising and communications strategies.

Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with a range of key stakeholders, you will raise our client’s local and national profile by attending external engagement sessions and networking opportunities.

You will organise and host opportunities to engage with stakeholders on
internally prioritised topics, mobilising activity to ensure presence at a number of key community focused events, ensuring they reach more people and engage them actively in our client’s work.

Aiming for ambitious funding targets and growing income, you will review and deliver a fundraising strategy, leading Individual Giving, Legacy income and Corporate income.

Additionally, you will:

- Ensure outstanding stewardship for our client’s supporters
- Grow and manage a portfolio of supporters and high net-worth individuals
- Review and deliver a communications strategy which focusses on profile raising and supporter development
- Ensure oversight of our client’s community newsletter and communications journeys
- Oversee communications and rebranding to convey a consistent tone of voice and brand identity

About You

To be considered as the Director of Engagement, Fundraising and Communications, you will need:

- Experience of working in a senior role in the charity sector
- Experience with a broad range of fundraising techniques and growing a range of income streams
- Experience in raising a brand profile and campaign leadership
- Experience with CRM systems
- Experience of leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Experience of analysing and preparing financial and performance data
- Experience of acting as an organisational spokesperson for journalists and media outlets
- Excellent event management experience
