The role
As a Digital Engineer (BIM), you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary where you will have the opportunity to get involved in a ground-breaking project from the outset in delivering a UK first initiative in the defence sector.

Day to day, you'll be involved in Building Information Modelling (BIM) modelling authoring and Digital Services delivery to the business unit or project BIM standards.

Responsibilities as a Digital Engineer (BIM) will also include:
* Supporting the coordination of the design solution and ensuring clash issues are resolved in a timely manner and working with the wider design teams.
* Providing Building Information Modelling (BIM) authoring and coordination support to the project, using the appropriate technology.
* Produce and manage the federated model for clash detection and coordination purposes.
* Using the appropriate methodologies use of the federated / combined model to display health and safety issues within the project. This information is then to be utilised to provide a communication aid in the project team to discuss and elevate health and safety issues.

This role is full time, 36 hours and will be based on site at either Rosyth ideally as this is where the local team is. We would consider candidates from the Warrington area but travel to Rosyth 2 days a week would be required (travel expensed) with hybrid working from home arrangements available on the other 3 days.

Essential experience of the Digital Engineer (BIM):
* Required to be able to demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of BIM / Digital through CPD or equivalent fundamental training courses
* Awareness of Building Information Modelling (BIM) & Digital Design / construction techniques

Qualifications for the Digital Engineer (BIM):
* CPD or equivalent fundamental training courses in BIM or Digital related fields
* HNC/HND in Engineering/Construction/Architecture desirable but not essential

Please note that this position is subject to enhanced national security vetting. The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements (this may include obtaining SC/NNPPI)
