Position: DevOps Software Engineer

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000

Location of work: Manchester City Centre

The Company: Our client is continuing to grow their technology team which is focused on the development of cutting-edge software solutions and tools for a host of interesting industry sectors including autonomous vehicles, automotive, financial software and medical devices.

The Role: The successful DevOps Software Engineer will be joining a growing team and will take on a critical role as they continue to increase their product and cloud service offering. The ideal DevOps Engineer will have industry experience in a similar role, ideally have worked in a R&D Environment and you can expect your role to involve design and deployment of continuous integration systems and services, working closely with the development team throughout the entire life cycle, designing and implementing high availability and reliable software solutions.

In this role you will get the chance to work on a range of projects and be actively encouraged to learn and develop new skills whilst working in a friendly, challenging environment within a team of like-minded technology enthusiasts.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Azure or AWS or Google Cloud
• CI/CD systems
• Linux
• Python or C/C++ or Rust
• Docker, Kubernetes, or other container technology

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Ansible, Chef or Puppet
• GitLab or GitHub
• Terraform or pulumi
• Open source technologies
