DevOps Engineer

We are currently recruiting for one of our trusted clients who are looking for a DevOps Engineer. Become part of a team specialising in fail-safe, rapid, and innovative design and consultancy services customised for organisations. Their main area of expertise lies in the Defence and Security Sector, where they provide IT innovation projects, analysis, and consultancy services.

What You Can Expect

• Work Type - Contract (3 months initially)
• Location - Farnborough - Hybrid (2/3 days)
• Industry - Consultancy/ Defence
• Salary - Up to £700 per day

Main Responsibilities as a DevOps Engineer

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
• Managing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
• Working closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration of new code releases into production environments.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting production systems to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
• Implementing and managing containerisation technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve and optimize system architecture and performance.
• Implementing and maintaining automated testing frameworks to ensure the quality of software releases.
• Continuously evaluating and implementing new tools and technologies to improve the efficiency of development and operations processes.

Experience & Skills Required

• Strong Ansible experience, or similar.
• Linux system administration.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with Azure and Azure DevOps preferred but not required.
• Kubernetes.
• SC Clearance.
