Design Technology Teacher

Empowering Learning is seeking a Teacher of Design Technology for a happy and successful school near Lincoln with a clear mission and agreed beliefs that are shared across the school community. • The department has recently undergone a significant renovation and learners and staff are fortunate to have extremely well-resourced facilities.
• Learners have access to a fully equipped workshop with a dedicated CAD/CAM suite comprising of 2 x laser cutters and 4 x 3D printers.
• The department is forward-thinking and they encourage the use of new technologies at GCSE. Design and Technology is a thriving subject and the school are constantly looking for new ideas to innovate our curriculum and ensure learners experience a relevant and modern curriculum.

All teaching staff have a generous allocation of non-contact time: typically 15%, which is significantly higher that the legal minimum requirement. This ensures that staff have the time to carry out their role to the highest possible standard, whilst having a genuine work-life balance.

To be successful in your Teacher of Design Technology application you will need to:

• Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Have excellent knowledge of the Design Technology curriculum.
• This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained.
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
