Design Technology Teacher - Permanent September 2024

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Teacher of Design & Technology who is knowledgeable and passionate about their subject to fulfil a permanent, full time role within a large Secondary school in Farnborough.

The school is a large secondary school based in Farnborough, who is committed to serving the local community by inspiring all children to achieve the highest possible academic and personal skills. They strive for this through creating a positive, safe, caring school environment, where relationships are strong, where success is celebrated, where high expectations are upheld, and all staff, parents and students work collaboratively to create a culture of life-long learning. The whole vocational learning area which includes 3 rooms, a work area, office and prep room-  boasting a dedicated suite of three technology rooms, including two DT workshops, a spacious classroom area, and a large graphics room.

As the Design Technology Teacher, you will have an exciting opportunity to be a part of the development of the Design Technology (Resistant Materials and Graphics) department, where you will play a very important part in creating exciting opportunities for the pupils within the school. will have good subject knowledge and be able to motivate pupils through inspirational teaching. The subject is extremely popular at GCSE Level, and can involve some opportunities to further enhance the quality of provision within the school.

The salary for this role is currently set at ECT/MPR/UPR with R&R available for the right candidate - ECTs are welcome to apply for this role. This role is set to start in September 2024.

For this role, you will be/will need:

- Qualified Teacher Status with degree in specialist subject

- A passionate and enthusiastic Teacher of Design Technology 

- Good subject knowledge and approach to teaching

- Available from September 2024 on a permanent, full time basis
