Remuneration: £30,000 - £40,000 + bonus

The role of the Design Estimator - Fire Detection & Security Systems will involve:

• Design Estimator position dealing with the design, supply, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire, suppression, voice, security and integrated systems
• Working with main contractors, M&E contractors and end users
• Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and enquiries
• Designing fire detection systems to BS5839-1
• Producing estimations and pricing of appropriate quotations
• Liaise with clients to discuss the technicalities of their requirements
• Building and developing relationships with clients predominantly over telephone
• Attending occasional client meetings and site surveys as and when required
• Project order values can vary from £5k - £500k

The ideal applicant will be a Design Estimator - Fire Detection & Security Systems with:

• Must have AutoCAD design experience in the fire detection and fire alarms market sector
• Ideally will have a sound knowledge of various communication systems such as: fire alarms, access controls, telecoms, CCTV, intruder alarms & door access
• BS5839-1 Design experience / training / qualifications
• Must be confident and have excellent telephone manor
• Excellent communications skills both written and verbal
• Stable career background
• Attention to detail and methodical organisational skills
