Design Engineer

Peterborough - Hybrid Working

We have an exciting assignment on offer to help our client meet the deadlines of some really exciting projects that are coming up!  Through this role, you will be responsible for the design of components and assemblies which could include engine rigging systems, mechanical systems, driveline components and unique test rigs.

Involved in multiple projects, a lot of bespoke projects, new product development and new technology developments.

What will you do:

  • CAD Design of components and assemblies.
  • Completion of component and group drawings.
  • Provide design calculations and analysis.
  • Taking the lead on technical projects.

To be considered please ensure your CV reflects:

  • Engineering degree with a mechanical bias or equivalent.
  • Good fundamental knowledge of Diesel Engines.
  • Previous experience of using Creo CAD and Teamcenter.
  • Geometric tolerancing knowledge.
  • Ability to understand detailed drawings and technical specifications.
  • Flexibility and ability to operate under pressure.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience within engine test/facilities.
  • Knowledge of FMEA’s.
