Our client, a leading industrial manufacturer, has as a result of internal promotion the need to appoint an ambitious design engineer.

Reporting to the Design Manager you will be part of a team who are responsible for the design of all existing products, new products, and of their R&D operations. Specifically, you shall work closely with the client to create a product that is fit for purpose, and is designed for manufacture. You will act as the technical liaison for the client and shall interact with all parts of the business to ensure the successful delivery of the required products. Your role may involve an element of component sourcing, depending on the design requirements, and of site visits to the client's premises.

You will be degree qualified (though an HNC/HND shall be considered), ideally in either Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering, and have some experience of mechanical design, pressure calculations, volume flow rates & creating BOM’s.
