Location: Solihull, Birmingham

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum dependant on experience

We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our Engineering team designing our tankers!

You will be involved in component design, metal work design and supporting the production team with design choices. You will also be involved in BOM Maintenance and the standardisation of designs across product families.

You will be the go-to person for care and maintenance vehicle designs, engineering changes and drawing updates!

What you will be doing:

  • Keeping the Engineering change tracker up to date with any recent changes
  • Working with component and metalwork design
  • Supporting the production team with design changes and problem solving
  • Technical drawings
  • Ensuring the standardisation of designs across product families
  • BOM maintenance

We are looking for someone who has / is:

  • Minimum of HNC / Level 4 in General Engineering
  • 2 years minimum experience of mechanical design / draughtsman
  • Experience of hydraulics and pneumatics is desirable but not essential
  • Experience of using Solidworks preferred
  • A good communicator with a can do attitude
  • Good time management and the ability to work on your own initiative
  • An Engineering or Product Design degree is desirable
