We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team in a leading manufacturing company, as a Deputy Finished Goods Manager. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and cost-effective production of quality goods within our various production lines and facilities.

Job Title: Deputy Finished Goods Manager

Location: Northfleet

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM (40 hours per week) with a 1-hour unpaid break

Salary Range: £29,608 - £33,290 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise operatives in their daily tasks, ensuring production targets are met, and goods are produced to the required quality standards.
  • Manage holiday requirements and handle any disciplinary actions within the team.
  • Ensure an adequate number of trained operators are available to meet production requirements.
  • Develop and promote a "right first time" culture among operators.
  • Maintain a safe workplace and uphold high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping.
  • Complete day-to-day production tasks as directed by the Finished Goods Supervisor.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by performing various duties within the department.
  • Read and understand working standards, specifications, and compliance within production.
  • Adhere to safety requirements related to manual handling, working at height, and confined spaces.
  • Follow all company standard operating procedures.
  • Take proactive measures to address production issues and report them to the Finished Goods Supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to meet quality and efficiency targets.
  • Versatility and flexibility to adapt to different tasks and responsibilities.
  • Understanding of safety requirements in manual handling, working at height, and confined spaces.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to find solutions to production issues.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members and report to the Finished Goods Supervisor.
