Deputy Manager
Staff Match are recruiting for a room based Deputy Manager to join a friendly nursery in Fulham. If you have good team building skills and a passion for early years and excellent knowledge of EYFS curriculum, we want to hear from you.
Person Specification:
NVQ level 3 Childcare qualification or equivalent
Experience of leading and motivating teams
Knowledge of EYFS Curriculum
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate (Desirable)
Paediatric First Aid (Desirable)
Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role
Some of the Deputy Manager responsibilities will include:
- To support the Nursery Manager and maintain a safe a high standard of practice in accordance with the nurseries principles, policies and procedures.
- To deploy staff effectively to ensure the required standards are maintained
- To ensure all staff understand and comply with all nursery policy and procedures
- To lead the team and support in EYFS planning and ensure children’s development records are maintained
- To carry our regular staff supervisions and coordinate staff meetings
- To support the Nursery Manager with recruiting, inducting, supporting, training and appraising all staff to deliver high quality childcare practice
- To promote diversity and equal opportunity
- To work in partnership with parents forming caring and trusting relationships
- To ensure professionalism and confidentiality at all times
